The Council of Ewe Associations of North America(CEANA) has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art Cancer Research and Treatment Centre in the Volta Region. The proposed facility will be developed in collaboration with the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) in Ho, with the aim of strengthening cancer research, diagnosis and treatment in the region. Welcoming the initiative, Volta Regional Council of State Member Gabriel Tanko Kwamigah-Atokple said the proposal aligns with earlier discussions held on improving cancer care and research in the region. The project is expected to boost access to specialised cancer services and contribute to efforts to reduce the burden of cancer in the Volta Region.
